The XTC Capped Ferrule is a lightweight replacement ferrule made from UV-stabilized thermoplastic material. It has a soft-white appearance, good chalk resistance, and machines easily, making it suitable for cue building, repair, and replacement work. The material also bonds well with common cue-making adhesives, with epoxy recommended for installation.
The XTC Capped ferrule is designed to provide a stable base for the cue tip while helping protect the shaft end. Compared with melamine ferrules, XTC is described as producing a slightly softer hit, giving the cue a softer-medium contact characteristic. It is intended primarily for playing cues and is not recommended for jump/break cues.
